Frequently Asked Questions about Celtic Tree Astrology

Everything you need to know about astronomical calculations, interpretation methodologies, and cosmic accuracy.

Celtic Tree Astrology was developed by the ancient Druids of Ireland, Scotland, and Britain. Based on a 13-month lunar calendar (each month consisting of 28 days), the Druids assigned a sacred tree to each lunar cycle based on the tree's mystical properties, seasonal behavior, and magical Ogham associations.

Ogham is an ancient Celtic alphabet often called the "Tree Alphabet" because each of its 20 characters corresponds to a sacred tree or shrub. The Druids carved Ogham into stone pillars and wood staffs to record sacred lineage, mark territorial sanctuaries, and cast divination.

Each Celtic tree sign has a corresponding sacred animal totem (such as the White Stag, Green Dragon, Salmon of Wisdom, or Sea Serpent). The totem represents your instinctual spiritual guardian, offering protective medicine and psychological power during challenging times.

While Greco-Roman Western astrology divides the solar year into 12 signs based on solar constellations, Celtic astrology follows a 13-month lunar cycle and grounds itself directly in the living flora, fauna, and seasonal spirits of the European wilderness.
