Everything you need to know about astronomical calculations, interpretation methodologies, and cosmic accuracy.
Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) was developed by the legendary Indian astrologer Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti. It refines classical Vedic astrology by discarding complex ambiguous rules in favor of the Placidus house system and the 249-part Cuspal Sub-Lord division based on Vimshottari Dasha proportions. While a planet indicates the event, its Sub-Lord decides whether the outcome will be fruitful or denied.
In KP astrology, every degree of the zodiac is governed by three celestial masters: (1) The Sign Lord provides the broad environmental field; (2) The Star Lord (Constellation/Nakshatra ruler) acts as the primary source of planetary energy and offers the event; and (3) The Sub-Lord acts as the definitive supreme judge, either sanctioning or prohibiting the fruition of the matter.
KP Ruling Planets (RP) are the divine cosmic clock hands operating at the exact moment of serious inquiry or chart verification. They consist of the Day Lord, Lagna Sign Lord, Lagna Star Lord, Lagna Sub-Lord, Moon Sign Lord, Moon Star Lord, and Moon Sub-Lord. In KP horary, ruling planets filter out false timing and reveal exact dates of fruition.
KP evaluates the Sub-Lord of the relevant house cusp: for marriage, the 7th Cusp Sub-Lord must signify houses 2, 7, or 11 (and avoid 1, 6, 10); for career, the 10th Cusp Sub-Lord connects with houses 2, 6, 10, or 11; and for wealth, the 2nd and 11th Cusp Sub-Lords govern income and fulfillment of desires.
The 27 Nakshatras each span 13° 20' (800 arcminutes). Each nakshatra is partitioned into 9 unequal parts proportional to the Vimshottari Dasha years of the 9 Grahas (120 years total). Summing these divisions across the 27 Nakshatras yields 243 boundaries; when accounting for transitions across sign boundaries, exactly 249 unique sub-divisions are formed.
